We cannot be silent or still in the face of injustice, racism, and murder. Words matter. And so do actions. We are committing ourselves to take action to support our local black communities and black-owned businesses.
Standing Together for Justice
We stand with our community, especially those in the Black community. We are committed to speaking up and taking action to fight injustice, inequality, and discrimination. We also know how important it is to listen and to learn. We believe we must do both. Today on our blog, we announced actions we’ll be taking to support Black-owned businesses, Black entrepreneurs, and the national chapter of Black Lives Matter.
We are equally committed to supporting the Dashers and Couriers of color who use the DoorDash and Caviar platforms in pursuit of their goals. We’re taking immediate action by creating a Dashers of Color Council to advise the company on issues facing Black Dashers, including safety and access. We hope to create a better experience and a stronger community.
Expect additional details on our actions and efforts over the coming weeks. We will include these updates in the weekly newsletter moving forward.
