Some customers may prefer a No Contact Delivery, and you may begin to see these requests more frequently.
What is a No Contact Delivery?
A No Contact delivery is one in which the customer asks that you leave the order in a safe, agreed-upon location and wait for them to pick up the food. In these deliveries, you’ll skip handing them the food directly, while still completing your delivery in full.
How do I know if a customer requested a No Contact delivery?
You’ll see this in the Drop off instructions, just as they would specify details for you in a traditional order. Common requests include front porch stoops and in front of apartment doors.
What do I need to do to complete a No Contact delivery?
- Follow the customer instructions (as usual!), making special note of any “Drop off instructions” listed for the address when you arrive.
- Take a photo of the food in its designated dropoff location, and text it to your customer.
- Walk back a comfortable distance, and wait until the customer has picked up the food.
- Upon pickup, mark as delivered, and continue delivering as usual
Thanks,
