Local Tids & Bits
Enter The Busy Season
Can you smell it in the air? The winds of change are blowing, and they’re floating more orders your way. That’s right! Labor Day is just a week away which means we are on the brink of entering one of the busiest times of the year for Caviar: the fall!
So what is important to consider for the days ahead? Historically, order demand on the Friday and Saturday of Labor Day weekend have been slightly slower than normal. If you plan to go online those days, you can do so during our busy times and in our hot zones to get the most out of your time.
Labor Day Monday is usually one of the busiest holiday’s of the year. We expect to see a HUGE amount of orders this year, and we’re paying extra milestone bonuses to celebrate.
Keep an eye on your email and in-app announcements in the days ahead for more updates about expected order demand and extra milestones for Labor Day!
Hot Zones & Busy Times
Now that we’re caught up on the potential for increased order demand for the Labor Day holiday, let’s talk about some ways to help really cash in on those opportunities.
The times of the day when Caviar experiences its highest order demand is lunch and dinner. Going online from 10AM-2PM and 5PM-9PM will help you to be assigned as many orders as possible towards your milestone goals.
Wondering where to go online to be assigned those orders during our busy lunch and dinner shifts? We are currently experiencing higher-than-normal order demand (especially during the dinner shifts) in the neighborhoods of SoMa/Mid-Market, FiDi, Richmond, and Sunset.
You can view the current hot zones in San Francisco by clicking the map icon on the bottom right hand corner of your Courier app’s screen. Going online in those areas can put you in the best location to rake in those peak time orders and increase your earnings
New Restaurant Launches!
This week we’re officially launching a new Souvla location in San Francisco to add another superb option for diners!
Souvla - SOMA at 532 Jessie Street is expected to go live on Friday (8/30)! A recent study found that absolutely zero people dislike Souvla’s outstanding food and we expect this location to serve a healthy amount of volume into our daily order count!
Souvla - SOMA has provided special pick up instructions that can help ease the pick up process for couriers who have accepted one of their orders. You can view the pick up instructions in the courier app when you accept an order and when you are about to check in at the restaurant. They ask that couriers please pick up the order at the sidewalk window labeled “Pick Up” at the address. Street parking is limited and the restaurant is located on a two-way, dead-end alley.
If you are a Courier who is interested in being assigned as many orders as possible, you can go online in one of our hot zones during the busy times of lunch (10-2) and dinner (5-9).
That will be that for this edition of the Weekly Caviar Newsletter, everyone!
We hope you found it to be full of helpful info!
