It was this week, 243 years ago, when a bunch of colonists upset about paying taxes donned their best powdered wigs and buckle-clad shoes to meet in a room in Philadelphia to declare that the 13 British Colonies would unfriend England.

The most notorious conscious uncoupling of all time resulted in the favor of that rag-tag group of revolutionaries. Now we commemorate that Declaration of Independence each year with bright sky explosions, fermented fizzy water, and mass consumption of meats charred over searing briquettes. Huzzah!

An Independent Milestone

We here at Caviar would be remiss if we let all of the July 4th celebrating pass us by without throwing our hat in the ring as well. So on Thursday, July 4, you will earn a $10 bonus for every 3 assigned orders from 5-9pm!!

Order volume on the holiday may be lower than normal: people leave town, they grill in the back yard, they skip meals to cause permanent damage to their hearing at night time sky explosion displays. Couriers who go online on July 4th can improve their chances of being assigned as many orders as possible by going online in one of our hot zones during the peaks of lunch (10-2) and dinner (5-9).
